If you disagree with any terms, you may not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms—revised versions will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance. 2. Account Responsibilities 3.1 Account Creation You must create an account to access fantasy worlds. You agree to: Use a unique username and secure password (minimum 8 characters) Provide truthful information (false details may result in character deletion) Not share account credentials (account sharing may lead to character theft) Notify us immediately of unauthorized access or character security breaches 3.2 Account Termination We may suspend/terminate your account without notice for: Violating these Terms or fantasy world rules Cheating, hacking, or using unauthorized software (e.g., god modes, item duplication) Fraudulent activity (e.g., fake age verification, payment disputes) Harassing other players or roleplaying harmful content (e.g., hate speech, explicit roleplay) Inactive accounts may be archived after 18 months of inactivity (with prior notice) You may delete your account by contacting [email protected]—character data retention follows our Privacy Policy. 4. User Conduct You agree to maintain a respectful, immersive fantasy environment: Prohibited activities include: Cheating, hacking, modifying game files, or exploiting bugs to gain unfair advantages Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other players (including out-of-character abuse) Sharing copyrighted content, malware, or phishing links Impersonating staff, NPCs, or other players Roleplaying explicit, violent, or illegal content (violating community guidelines) Spamming in-game chat or forums with non-fantasy-related content Violations may result in account termination, character reset, or permanent bans from fantasy worlds. 5. Intellectual Property 5.1 Platform Ownership All Platform content (fantasy worlds, characters, quests, lore, graphics, software) is owned by basilisk.top or its licensors, protected by U.S. and international IP laws. You may not reproduce, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute content without explicit written permission. 5.2 User-Generated Content (UGC) You retain ownership of UGC (e.g., character backstories, guild lore, fan art). By posting UGC, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote the content for fantasy gaming purposes (e.g., in-game events, community showcases). You warrant UGC does not infringe third-party rights and aligns with our fantasy theme. 6. Service Availability We strive for immersive, uninterrupted fantasy experiences but do not guarantee 24/7 service. We may suspend service for maintenance, expansion updates, or technical issues (with advance notice when possible). We are not liable for lost character progress or quest disruptions due to technical issues. 7. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law: The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties (express or implied) We are not liable for direct/indirect damages (e.g., emotional distress from character loss, missed quests) Our total liability for any claims is limited to $100 (or the value of any purchases made) This excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud, or personal injury. 8. Indemnification You agree to indemnify basilisk.top, its staff, and partners from: Claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your use of the Platform Violations of these Terms or third-party rights Harmful roleplay or inappropriate UGC 9. Dispute Resolution Disputes are governed by Oregon law. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Multnomah County courts. Small claims may be resolved through binding arbitration. 10. Termination These Terms remain in effect until terminated. We may terminate for any reason—you must cease using the Platform upon termination. 11. Miscellaneous These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and basilisk.top. Invalid provisions do not affect others. Our failure to enforce terms does not waive them.
